About

Shawna Rice is a freelance writer, editor, and adrenaline junkie. She has always loved a good story, and she began her editorial career crafting profiles of top business professionals for Consulting Magazine. After that, she immersed herself in the land of happily-ever-afters as an editorial assistant at Harlequin. Usually found under a pile of slush (which is a publishing term for unsolicited manuscripts), she diligently searched for new authors while editing books of established writers in the genre. In 2011, Shawna branched out to create content for independent authors. She wrote biographies and marketing materials for writers of mystery, science fiction, and young adult titles. Unable (and unwilling) to leave romance behind, she blogged for RT Book Reviews where she threw in fun pop culture references wherever she could. Now she’s exploring web content, site architecture, and leading a number of redesign projects for the City of New York.
